Should You Buy?
The all new Super Mario 3D Land is a level game in the Nintendo-developed Mario series. Released
in North America recently, in November 2011, the game features a combination of elements adopted from the classic
side-scrolling Mario 2D version and the recent 3D Mario versions.
Key Features Of The Super Mario 3D Land
Game
Great Moves
In Super Mario 3D Land, Mario performs an attack while making a rolling somersault. He can even run fast in
conjunction with the dash move. As the Tanooki Mario, he uses his tail to float and do floating jumps, or attack
while on air.
New Villains Mario encounters new enemies that include a tailed
Goombas, a lot of Goomases in a tall stack, and an ink-spitting Piranha Plant.
Unique Game-Play With both new and old moves, the adventure is
filled with exceptional game-play experience.
3D Visuals The enhanced 3D imaging makes it easier to determine
distances and depths of the Mario World. This allows players to have a more accurate judging of the platforms'
distance to each other, or how far the questioning block is from Mario, etc.
Total Control Players are allowed to control Mario through the
Circle Pad, giving you a complete control that makes you feel more confident on each stage.
Classic Flagpole Like the earliest versions of Super Mario games,
the Super Mario 3D Land ends each stage with a flagpole, a very nice way to remind users of Mario's 'old'
world.
Autostereoscopic Technology
This state-of-the-art feature greatly enhances the visuals, and allows players to identify depth on screen.
StreetPass Functionality This feature allows players to swap their
mystery boxes for bonus items.
Different Game-Play For Luigi Although Luigi appears on the game,
he has different handling requirements from Mario, making the game more exciting.
3DS Gyroscope With the 3DS Gyroscope feature, you are able to
search for hidden Toads and earn extra power ups.
Traditional Mario World Items With A Twist Along with the classic
Super Mushroom, Starman and Fire flower, new power-up items that give Mario a special suit that allows him to do
new abilities.
Super Guide
Similar to the past Mario games, Mario is entitled with several items if he struggles on a particular level. These
include the Invisibility Leaf, the P-Wing and more.
Combination Of The Tracks You Love Super Mario 3D Land uses 4
tracks from Super Mario Galaxy, which include the Airship Theme, Ghost Galaxy (remix), Cosmic Mario, and the Sweet
Sweet Galaxy Theme. It also uses a Super Mario Galaxy 2 track called The Peewee Piranha Boss, which is used on the
Bonus Planets level.

Land Game

• Outstanding visuals
• Exceptional playability
• Keeps old Mario features and incorporates new ones
• Easy to use interface

Customers Feedback
The Super Mario 3D Land is the newest installment of the Mario Saga and users love it. The story
is a typical Mario World plot, in this case, a lot of leaves were stolen, and Princess Peach was taken hostage by
Bowser (as usual). The mission is to find all the stolen leaves and rescue Princess Peach.
Like all Mario games, this version is not difficult to like. Or love even. Similar to most Mario
games, the plot is exciting, and it is full of challenging stages that keep you going and going 'til the end. The
Super Mario 3D Land is based on a 2D platform and developed into 3D. This way, you move more swiftly and smoothly.
You will notice that your hops and jumps and stomps are more fluid than ever.
At the beginning, it looks like the game play is a little weird; but after a few paths, you will
realize that the paths are nicely set. It is actually great to explore the now wider 3D world. The theme and
game-play is very similar to that with Super Mario Galaxy, in terms of background and fights. However, there is a
'new improved' feel in the upper Mario 3D Land, and you won't think that it is just the 3D rendering version of the
Galaxy.
The game offers outstanding playability. There's even a 'help system' where you can use the
Super Leaf to let you skip to the next level unscathed. The 'help system' initially activates after Mario died
twice; that's when you get a Power Up. After 5 deaths, Mario then receives the special leaf that gets him to the
next level. This feature greatly reduces the frustration typical to new gamers.
Should You Buy The Super Mario 3D Land
Game?
All in all, the game is excellent. For Mario and Nintendo fanatics, this is a game that you will
certainly enjoy and keep on playing until a newer version takes over. The Super Mario 3D Land Game for Nintendo 3DS
can be purchased from Amazon.com at a special price.
